The organisation of the International Congress on Education and Young People with Social Difficulties during the Transition to Adult Life is undertaken by the TABA and GARAIAN research groups. This initiative is part of the TRANSITIONS Project and the projects of the LÁQUESIS NETWORK, as one of its dissemination and social outreach activities.
"Assessment of the transitions to adult life of young people leaving the protection system" -TRANSITIONS-, is the title of the R&D&I Research Project, within the framework of the State Programme for Research, Development and Innovation Focused on the Challenges of Society. Reference: RTI2018-093323-B-C41. Funded by MINECO, FEDER, AEI, and the SM Foundation, this research involves a large number of researchers belonging to the UNED, UPV/EHU, UPO, UVigo, UHU, UAM, UCM, UNIR, USTA and UBA.
The Láquesis network, promoted and funded by the SM Foundation, was set up to work specifically with and for children, adolescents and young people in care and those leaving the protection system in a project entitled "Education for an inclusive future with opportunities: challenges for the social inclusion of young people leaving the care system". This project studies the transition pathways to adult life of young people who have been cared for in the protection system under the residential or family foster care scheme, from the moment they leave these protective environments. Researchers from the UNED, UPV/EHU, UdG and ULL participate in this network.
